Scandinavian Kids Rooms

We often hear about Scandinavian design with it's clean lines and modern shapes. It's a very appealing design, giving us that calm, clean feeling.

Scandinavian countries experience particularly dark winter months. To combat this, Scandinavians often brighten their homes with white walls and sometimes even the floors, to allow as much light as possible to be reflected inside.

Children's rooms are often based around the white walls with light coloured furniture. While black and white colours are popular accompaniments to the white background, Scandinavian children's bedrooms tend to be lively and fun, filled with pops of colour, pattern and fun bits of artwork, giving it a clean, fresh feel.

Add beautiful patchwork quilts, hanging mobiles, bunting, artwork, cushions and rugs to give a white room a personality. It's all in the accessorizing that will make it work!

Have a look at our Scandinavian inspiration below.
